We had a great night's rest in the enormous and comfortable bedroom. The B&B owner was friendly and provided excellent takeaway options for dinner. The room also had a TV with Netflix, a coffee maker, ironing board, iron, and fresh towels. I would recommend this hotel.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel and I can't wait to go back. The owner, John, was incredibly helpful and gave us great recommendations for nearby dining options. He even offered to give us a lift to the pub! Our room was lovely, with special touches like chocolates, Prosecco, and petals on the bed. We also loved the hot tub area, especially when the romantic lights were on in the evening. The breakfast, although a bit pricey for a special occasion like Valentine's weekend, was delicious and the service was top-notch. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I'm already planning to return in the summer.
All in all, our stay at this hotel was fantastic and there was nothing that we didn't like.

Myself and my girlfriend booked a room at Thorpe Thewles lodge for a wedding the previous month and our room and the service was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I booked a room for a second time as I was so satisfied with our last experience. Our room was considerably smaller this time but we had another great night. Our room was classic modern with wooden furnishings throughout. The breakfast service was also excellent and its location was ideal for a local but quiet romantic getaway.
The road leading up to the lodge was full of pot holes and if you are ordering a taxi they may struggle to find it.

As foreign tourists, we loved the spacious room with a comfortable double bed and a cozy corner suite. The TV was perfectly positioned, allowing us to enjoy our favorite shows. The peaceful surroundings ensured we had the best sleep ever!
Felt like a second home, no complaints at all.

The room was lovely and we made use of the hot tub, which was fabulous. The owner was very friendly and helpful, even offering us a lift to the pub. The location of the hotel was also great, with nearby pubs and takeaways.
The room was a bit cold and the duvets and pillows were too thin. The bathroom floor and shower had mold and mildew.

Some aspects of the cleanliness could be improved, as mentioned in one of the reviews.

Thorpe Thewles is a little out of the way, but for a budget holiday was really good. The room was clean and beds comfortable. Although there were 3 adults and two children in one room we were not cramped. We had breakfast which was cooked beautifully and nothing was too much trouble for them. It was very quiet and peaceful sitting on the patio in the sun watching the horses in the field next to us. The children loved it and did not want to come home. Overall, very enjoyable. Owners very friendly and made us feel welcome.Although there was obviously building work ongoing it did not affect us at all. Will definately go back.

Quiet, no risk of noisy late night . No noisy ac/ extractor fans found in large hotels. Stylish decor.
My room design had style but I prefer comfort. Matching leather framed futon-style bed not particularly comfortable and would be too low for many people. Curtains were attractive but thin and let bright outside light through from 4 in the morning. Duvet attractive rather than warm.
